About

The Woodbine Neighborhood Association and its mission are  incorporated as a “mutually beneficial, non-religious, non-profit with members”, on record with the Department of State in Tennessee. Our next step is to pursue tax exemption status through the IRS.

Woodbine is a growing community, nestled within the larger Flatrock area of South Nashville, with its own unique identity–one that celebrates and protects its well-known diversity. The Woodbine Neighborhood Association was founded in 2010 by Woodbine resident Tamara Price, with support from the Neighborhoods Resource Center. It evolved from the nationally registered Oriel/ Peachtree Neighborhood Watch, which had grown to address neighborhood issues and was sprouting ideas far removed from traditional neighborhood watch topics. Out of a desire to include the entire Woodbine community, the Woodbine Neighborhood Association was born. The Woodbine Neighborhood Association aims to bring Woodbine residents together to foster community and to encourage positive and healthy growth, relying on a project-based model. Steering committee members are Woodbine residents and are all active members/ volunteers in the community.
