Projects
The Woodbine Neighborhood Association’s priority-setting project was a great success; thanks to Tom Appel of the Neighborhoods Resource Center and to everyone who participated! Here are the ideas that had the most votes, in order:
1. “Taste of Woodbine” events to taste the wonderful foods from different cultures that our neighborhood has to offer. These could be restaurant same-night/ week-long tours, neighborhood potlucks or a one-day festival combined with a community yard sale to raise money for neighborhood projects.
2. An amphitheater/ band shell at Coleman Park.
3. Regular neighborhood concerts (small house concerts and larger more public ones).
4. A neighborhood identity that celebrates Woodbine’s rich cultural diversity, an identity that we do not lose as we grow.
5. Regular community events.
You’ve given us direction AND taken ownership of your community, thank you Woodbine!
